  • 360° product view how-to?

    Folks,
creating a 360° panorama (qtvr type look-around thing) is a quite simple job with V-Ray.
But how about a pre-rendered, turntable-like interactive product movie?

Well, I'm looking for a file format that doesn't need any super special software to display the content (apart from a standard web browser plug-in, maybe).
Does it have to be done in Flash and saved as a website?

Anyone with experience in this field?

    Cheers,
    matthias

Quicktime VR? I think that's what an app spit out that I used for this purpose back in the day.

uhm, all I found were those panoramic images done with qtvr - with the camera centered, you turn around the environment.
I'd need it just the other way round...

      does that make sense?

it's Quicktime VR, seems like the best google search results I can find are from searching for "quicktime object vr"

          that looks like it:
VR Worx is the ideal QTVR Object tool
...never heard of qtvr object movies before., but it's really interesting to see what you can do with it:

Hello Architecture Visualisation Artists, that's a nice one for an interactive sun animation!

I thought about Flash content, yea... it's just that I need to dig deep into the unknown to raise a small treaure. I'm not a Flash guy, yet.

So, as it seems, I'll go for the Quick Time option - let's see how it works out.
          Thanks for the hint

Sure thing, glad it was helpful. I used to use quicktime vr to showcase my models back in the day.

I believe this is the software I used back then.

I used the pano2QTVR for panorama and object VR.

                Thanks guys!
I'll demo both of them... but only the pricing says it all, what do you think?
